Staff Nurse - Haslemere Community Hospital
Haslemere Community Hospital is part of the Royal Surrey NHS Foundation Trust (RSFT). You will enjoy the great location of Haslemere Community Hospital, which is a short 20 minute journey from the Royal Surrey Acute site. Haslemere Hospital is located near Haslemere town centre, with a short walk to the supermarket or train station. The historic site is set in lovely rural grounds, much enjoyed by patients and their visitors. There is plenty of free, available parking for staff to use.
Main duties of the job
We are seeking to employ enthusiastic and self-motivated individuals who have a caring and compassionate attitude with passion for older peoples care. As one of our nurses, you can expect extensive and supportive training, with the option to specialise or rotate for short placement at Milford Hospital to gain diverse skills and knowledge. With a real team spirit and significant investment in education, this is a really good place to develop your skills.
Haslemere Hospital has 2 inpatient rehab wards, currently set for 16 patients: Godwin- male and Elizabeth- female, and you will be able to work and rotate to both. Haslemere Community Hospital is a thriving, busy and friendly place to work. We work closely with Haslemere GP practice and the Minor Injuries Unit, podiatry clinic. There is plenty of opportunities to expand skills and develop.

There is staff transport available - mini bus service operating between RSFT, Milford and Haslemere twice a day, bringing staff for long days and night shifts.

As an NMC registrant facilitate learning and development of others. You will demonstrate leadership qualities and be open, transparent and trustworthy. Person Specification
Qualifications
* Registered Nurse Part 1 or 12
* Evidence of recent professional updating and relevant personal development
* Demonstrates professional awareness and knowledge
* Understanding of current issues in Acute NHS setting
* Consolidation of Nurse Training
* Knowledge of clinical governance issues such as complaints handling, clinical risk management
* Knowledge of current NHS and Professional issues
Knowledge and Skills
* Excellent customer care skills
* Competencies in tasks such as IV additives/ECG recording and venepuncture or willingness to undertake
