What you'll do: As a machine operative, you will be responsible for the setting and operating of mechanical and computer-operated equipment within a busy, fast paced environment working a rotational two shift working pattern, reporting to the departmental supervisor. You will be required to use a variety of tools whilst following safety guidelines and regulations. "- Setting of authorised equipment - Control and adjust authorised equipment to ensure product complies with business quality requirements - Ensure the smooth and efficient running of authorised equipment. Troubleshooting production issues, stoppages and errors. - Perform routine maintenance where authorised - Be able to work as part of a team to meet company production targets and deadlines - Follow standard operating procedures and health & safety requirements - Demonstrate an awareness of production order requirement parameters to achieve delivery times and customer requirements. - Demonstrate initiative and flexibility - Ability to react quickly when problems arise - Monitor and record equipment output - Support continuous improvement of manufacturing processes to achieve efficiency and quality priorities. - Show a competency towards general fault-finding. - Undertake training necessary for development as agreed with Team Leader / Supervisor - Undertake any other reasonable duties as directed. Qualifications: Secondary (GCSE) Operational / machine environment Skills: Machine experienced, computer literate, MRP experienced, various measuring equipment Able to work independently or as a team. Good communication skills.
