Your role of Steward at Historic Environment Scotland is a seasonal position up until 30 September 2025. The likely start date for this role is in March 2025.

Based at Balvenie Castle, you will prepare the site for visitors each day and welcome visitors to the site during the summer season. Assisting visitors with information and the most suitable tickets and products, you will make sure they have the best possible experience of this busy site with a rich history.
The wide variety of visitors to Balvenie Castle makes this an interesting and varied role, and the continuing increase in visitor numbers makes this an important site within the district.
You may also be asked to work at Huntly Castle, 15 miles away, from time to time—no more than once a month. Travel expenses will be paid for this and all other work travel.
