Job summary Band 3 Bank Therapy Assistant Hull University Teaching Hospitals are seeking to recruit a Band 3 bank Therapy Assistant to join our diverse team of allied health professionals and support staff who work across a range of clinical specialties within an acute care setting. The post holders will work alongside colleagues to support the assessment of need across a range of clinical conditions which present with varying degrees of complexity. As a Therapy Assistant you will have direct input into the treatment of patients who present within acute care, delivering evidence based interventions to facilitate recover, promote well-being and optimise independent functioning as far as reasonably possible in all areas of life. You will be expected to be an active member of the therapy and multi-disciplinary teams and strive to treat patients and colleagues with compassion, kindness and respect. Main duties of the job We are looking for an enthusiastic team member to complement our Therapy Service working at Hull Royal and Castle Hill hospital. This is a Bank post therefore there is a requirement to be able to work at any site and within any clinical area within the Trust. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic person to gain experience working as a Therapy Assistant to provide support to Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists in carrying out delegated duties. In addition, the post holder will assist in undertaking clerical and administrative duties directly related to patient care including mobility aids and clinical supplies.
