About The Role WWT Castle Espie is looking for a proactive individual to manage the day-to-day operation of our collection of wildfowl, ensuring the highest welfare standards. You will work as part of the team of colleagues and volunteers to routinely meet and exceed both company and zoo licence standards across all areas of the department. Working in cooperation with the Grounds & Facilities Manager you will maintain the highest visitor standards and experience throughout the collection area. Duties will include the daily feeding, husbandry and welfare of the living collection, including enclosure maintenance. You will also play a key part in engaging visitors with our collection species, and WWT’s wider conservation work, through the delivery of walks and talks. This is a full time position working 37.5 hours per week, 5 days from 7. About You To join as our Senior Living Collection Keeper you’ll bring: Previous animal husbandry experience, especially within aviculture Proven experience of supervising and motivating employees and/ or volunteers Practical maintenance skills including operation of grounds machinery and equipment Great communication skills and the drive to achieve inspiring and engaging visitor experiences within our collection If this sounds like you then click apply.
