An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Practitioner to be the Mental Capacity Act Lead within the Adult Care Workforce Development Team.
You will have responsibility for the coordination, design and delivery of all Mental Capacity Act and DoLS training for the Adult Social Care workforce. You will provide advanced practice expertise and guidance to the wider workforce to ensure it complies with statutory duties and responsibilities of the Mental Capacity Act and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards.
You will be involved in identifying, designing and delivering Mental Capacity Act and DoLS Training and where appropriate you will commissioning additional learning and development opportunities to meet the needs of the wider workforce.
Within this role you will be working in close partnership with individual practitioners, Adult Care operational teams, training providers and partner agencies to plan, deliver and evaluate learning and development activities. You will manage the quality assurance of the MCA/DoLS related practice and training and participate in organisational Quality Assurance frameworks.
You will assist the Team Manager in the identification, development and commissioning of appropriate learning and development opportunities for the operational adult care workforce.
As part of this role you will be required to work for 1 day per week within the DoLS Service.
