EYFS Teaching Assistant – Full-Time, Starting After Half-Term
We are currently seeking a dedicated and nurturing EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a primary school in Newcastle. This full-time role involves supporting the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) class, assisting with learning activities, and fostering a positive and engaging environment for young learners. The position starts after half-term and offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on early childhood education.
Location: Newcastle
Position: EYFS Teaching Assistant (Full-Time)
Start Date: After Half-Term
Hours: 08:30 – 15:30 (with a 30-minute lunch break)
Key Responsibilities:
* Support children in EYFS with their early learning and development
* Assist the class teacher with lesson preparation and classroom activities
* Provide one-to-one and small group support as needed
* Foster a nurturing and inclusive learning environment
* Help monitor and track student progress
* Encourage positive social interactions and engagement in learning
* Support classroom management and maintain a structured learning atmosphere
What We’re Looking For:
* Experience working as a Teaching Assistant, ideally within EYFS
* A passion for supporting young children’s education and development
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Ability to build positive relationships with children and staff
* Patience, creativity, and adaptability in a classroom setting
* A relevant qualification (Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant) is preferred
