MYDoc CST Equivalent (Rotational Training Programme)
MidYorkshire Teaching NHS Trust is pleased to announce these high-quality and exciting posts, which have been designed primarily for trainees who have successfully completed their FY2 placements and wish to complete a CST equivalent training within Surgery. These posts are an ideal steppingstone for trainees between their FY2 and Specialty training posts and offer opportunities for applicants to develop skills and experience in other areas such as medical education and quality/service improvement. Our posts combine education and career development with practical patient-facing care. These posts are also suitable for trainees who wish to build their portfolios before applying for national core training rotations.
The post holders will be eligible for completion of a certificate of equivalence of core training. This certificate will allow trainees to apply for national specialty training programmes (STR) of their choice. Each post holder will be assigned an educational supervisor and is expected to achieve all core training competencies set out by the ISCP. Trainees will be appointed at CT1 level and may be eligible to continue for a second year at CT2 level subject to a satisfactory Annual Review of Competency Progression (ARCP).
