What you'll do
As the Account Director you will play a crucial role in leading client relationships, driving business growth, and ensuring client satisfaction. You'll have autonomy on your area of the business/brand, taking the lead on the zest stakeholder relationship, with a focus on the more complex strategic and creative projects. You will act as a business partner for our internal clients, developing a deep understanding of their market challenges, the context and the business objectives. Your expertise in client partnership will involve fostering enduring and trustworthy relationships, proactively identifying opportunities for expansion, and serving as the first point of contact for client needs and requests. As a strategic partner, you will collaborate with Planners to develop and implement strategic responses for brand business and communication needs and you'll be very comfortable with reviewing and contributing to strategic proposals and creative concepts, ensuring our work aligns to the client brief and is best in class.
You will champion creativity, act as a creative advocate, and collaborate with project management and production to ensure seamless integration of work across multiple channels. You'll be comfortable representing zest in collaborative meetings with external agency partners. As a leader, you will galvanise the team, nurture them through mentoring and coaching, and demonstrate behavioural flexibility, emotional intelligence, influence, and creative problem-solving skills. Your ability to make decisions on client leadership, strategy, SLAs frameworks, and external agency partnerships will drive the success of Sainsbury's.
Who you are
You will have proven experience at Account Director level, with an integrated channel background, although digital channel experience is essential. You'll be able to hit the ground running from day one. You'll be strategic, have a passion for great creative, build strong relationships quickly, and be an exceptional communicator. You'll thrive in a fast paced, retail environment, and be a solution-focused 'can do' person.
