The role
As a Systems Requirements and Acceptance Lead, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will take ownership of the requirements management plan and associated engineering process, tailored to the needs of the contract and associated replenish work packages.
Day-to-day, you’ll:
1. Manage requirements engineering governance in liaison with the Chief Engineer
2. Be responsible for the quality and integrity of Skynet contract requirements and associated updates as a result of change projects in accordance with policy and best engineering practice
3. Be responsible for working with Technical Leads, supporting the creation and review of requirements documentation, from concepts through to in-life support, maintaining a focus on quality
4. Carry out administration of the Requirements Management Databases (RMDB), hosted in Domain Object Oriented Requirements Systems (DOORS™) schema and access
5. Facilitate DOORS™ training and support for applicable stakeholders
6. Manage the creation of high-quality requirements and acceptance documentation and reporting
This position involves occasional travel/working across a range of internal and customer sites, as a requirement of the role.
This role is full time, thirty-seven hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements.
Essential experience of the Systems Requirements and Acceptance Lead
7. Extensive and demonstrable systems engineering experience with specialism in requirements definition, verification, validation and transition to service
8. Knowledge of UK MOD practices and ways of working
9. Lead practitioner/expert in determining and managing stakeholder requirements, requirements validation and transition to operation
10. Conversant with accreditation standards for bringing into service telecommunications systems including bespoke and commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) software applications
11. Experience in delivery in a Sensor Open Systems Architecture (SOSA) environment
Qualifications for the Systems Requirements and Acceptance Lead
12. Degree or equivalent in Telecommunications or Electronic Engineering
13. HNC/HND with equivalent, relevant experience is valued and welcomed
