Job Role: To support the Home Manager with effective clinical leadership to the nursing and care team.
You will be responsible for clinical outcomes, quality of nursing assessments, care planning, implementation, and evaluation of care staff training issues to ensure that residents have an excellent standard of care.
You will interact directly with the residents, providing comfort and care and monitor their needs.
You must share our values and have the desire to provide our residents with excellent first-class care.
You will be dedicated, compassionate, and energetic and will put the needs and well-being of our residents above all else. You must take responsibility for the safeguarding of adults and follow the organisation’s whistleblowing policy as required.
Skills, Qualifications, and Competencies:
* A current and valid NMC Registration as a Registered Nurse.
* Up to date evidence-based clinical knowledge in relation to client groups cared for within the Home.
* You are fully conversant with the following NMC codes of practice: Professional Code of Conduct, Complaining about professional misconduct, Scope of Professional Practice, Standards for Administration of Medicine, Standards for Records and Record keeping, Confidentiality, Exercising Accountability, Guidelines for Mental Health and Learning Disabilities.
* You have the knowledge to make research-based decisions regarding nursing care needs.
* You have a flexible approach to working hours.
* Good communication skills, with elderly residents, visitors, and other members of staff.
* You will genuinely want to make a real difference to the lives of our residents.
* Ability to build sincere rapport with residents, relatives, and other members of staff.
* You will demonstrate strong management and leadership skills.
* You will demonstrate genuine enthusiasm towards the role and passion for the care sector.
* The ability to take initiative and to have a positive, can-do attitude is essential.
* Lead the team of nursing and care staff with excellent clinical practice, creating an open, positive, and inclusive atmosphere whilst ensuring that residents’ privacy, dignity, choice, independence, and safety are actively promoted at all times.
