Location: TalkTalk Digital Team (Flexible / Hybrid) About the Role: We’re looking for a highly organized and strategic Product & Design Operations Lead to join our digital team at TalkTalk. In this role, you'll drive operational excellence across both product and design functions, supporting the development of customer-facing digital journeys across sales and service. You’ll play a key part in shaping the efficiency, alignment, and collaboration of these functions, ensuring the seamless delivery of impactful, customer-centric digital experiences. Key Responsibilities: Operational Management & Tooling: Own and manage the day-to-day operations of product and design teams, ensuring smooth coordination, prioritization, and delivery of high-quality digital experiences. Implement and refine operational frameworks, including agile methodologies, design sprints, and product lifecycle management, to ensure efficient execution and continuous improvement. Lead the development, implementation, and optimization of tooling across product and design functions, enabling efficient collaboration, workflow automation, and enhanced productivity. This includes platforms such as Jira, Confluence, ProductBoard, and Figma. Best Practices & Frameworks: Drive the adoption of best-in-class product and design processes, inspired by leading companies like Meta, Amazon, Netflix, and Google, and ensure these practices are embedded across the team. Develop, standardize, and continuously improve best practice frameworks for product and design operations, ensuring scalability and consistency in approach across multiple projects. Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to monitor the success of operational processes and make data-driven improvements. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Facilitate cross-functional collaboration between product, design, engineering, and business teams to streamline workflows and optimize delivery. Lead change management efforts to ensure smooth transitions when implementing new processes, tools, or frameworks. Strategic Support: Support strategic initiatives to scale and improve the overall product and design functions, aligning with broader digital transformation goals. Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and innovation, while maintaining a focus on the customer experience. Experience Needed: Proven experience in product or design operations, ideally within a digital or tech-first organization. Deep understanding of the digital product development lifecycle, from discovery to delivery. Strong track record of implementing operational processes that drive efficiency, scalability, and alignment in cross-functional teams. Experience in developing and optimizing tooling ecosystems across product and design teams to enable collaboration and drive productivity. Familiarity with best-in-class frameworks and methodologies used by leading tech companies (e.g., Agile, Lean, Design Thinking). Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate with senior leaders, product managers, designers, and engineers. Experience with digital tools like Jira, Confluence, ProductBoard, Figma, or similar platforms is a plus.
