Electrical Pre-Contracts Manager
A market leading MEP contractor business is looking to hire their next diligent Electrical Pre-Contracts Manager in order to win new work from existing clients they work with.
The role involves managing the pre-construction phases through to project win, incentivised by a generous bonus structure.
Responsibilities:
1. Liaising directly with clients to discuss job briefs and managing through to pricing and project win.
2. Monitoring and reviewing tender documentation from sub-contractor businesses.
3. Ensuring all tenders are robust and as competitive as possible.
4. Liaising directly with clients and sub-contractors, making sure tender stages are running as efficiently as possible.
5. Reporting directly to the Commercial Manager, helping coordinate tenders with internal teams.
6. Developing relationships with new and existing clients.
7. Designing/sizing mechanical equipment ready for tender.
8. Maintaining company standards in terms of quality.
9. Attending pre-contract meetings with clients and internal team members.
Requirements:
1. Minimum 5 years experience in a building services environment.
2. Hold a related qualification in the building services/electrical industry.
3. Ability to multi-task while reviewing multiple project tenders.
4. Knowledge of electrical systems design and installation.
5. Good commercial understanding of M&E contracting, working as both Principal and/or Sub Contractor.
6. Strong communication skills, both internal and external.
7. Experience working with sub-contractors and managing accordingly to ensure maximum results.
