An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our organisation which is based within Dalziel Building, Motherwell. This role offers the option of hybrid working in line with the requirements of the service. The company owns a large and varied commercial portfolio of 970 properties producing a rent roll of approximately £6.5 million per annum.
\n
You will assist in the provision of a full range of property management services including provision of robust information to inform the development of the strategic investment plan for the North Lanarkshire Properties LLP’s property portfolio. In addition, you will provide client advice to North Lanarkshire Council and be responsible for programme management of a range of capital investment works. You will deliver North Lanarkshire Properties condition survey programme, in line with industry recognised good practice and standards. You will also manage the preparation of schedules of condition and dilapidations, including negotiating settlements with tenants and on behalf of North Lanarkshire Council. In addition, you will prepare schedules for planned maintenance works, life cycle programming and manage the day to day repairs and maintenance for the portfolio and assist with other aspects of lease compliance in the provision of a co-ordinated property service.

To succeed in this role, you must have experience of delivery, survey, design and oversight of minor and medium sized work programmes and of preparing specifications using building software. Working knowledge of Health & Safety/CDM regulations is essential to this role and knowledge of procurement regulations, experience of operating Autocad LT or similar software and competent knowledge of JCT Forms of Contracts would be advantageous.

You must have a degree in Building Surveying or equivalent and considerable experience within the property industry. You must be a full member, or demonstrate you are working towards full membership, of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS), or the Chartered Institute of Building (MCIOB).
\n
You will have experience using Microsoft office packages, possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, have the ability to work to performance standards and deadlines and work on your own initiative and also as part of a team.
\n
You must be able to travel throughout North Lanarkshire and surrounding areas to undertake the duties of this post.
\n
