About the role We are seeking an experienced Data Analyst to support one of the Natural History Museum s main advocacy programmes the Urban Nature Movement, and in particular the National Education Nature Park ( https://www.educationnaturepark.org.uk/ ). The Nature Park aims to empower children and young people to make a positive difference to both their own and nature s future. This free programme provides all educators with the resources, support and guidance to embed climate and nature within everyday teaching and learning to give every child and young person in England the opportunity to develop a meaningful connection to nature, study biodiversity on their site and contribute to nature recovery across the country and build resilience for a changing world. Having launched in October 2023, the Nature Park is now in Year 2 of delivery and the team wishes to enhance our use of data insights to drive forward continuous improvement and uptake by schools, enhance the user experience, inform future investment, and communicate programme achievements. The focus will be on analysing participation and engagement data drawn from the programme website, tracking spreadsheets and from ArcGIS mapping tools, which schools are using to map and study biodiversity on their site. About you The ideal candidate will have significant experience of data analysis on programmes and projects. You will have the ability to use a range of analytical techniques and a proven willingness to acquire new skills and knowledge to provide the team with insights to optimise our work, monitor user experience and make better decisions. You will have demonstrable experience in compiling data from multiple sources to build semantic data models and reports, proficiency in using digital analytics tools, experience using data and evidence to drive better outcomes or business improvement, the ability and confidence to communicate verbally and in writing with technical and non-technical stakeholders, and familiarity with issues relating to data licensing, Intellectual Property and GDPR.
