Are you an experienced School Attendance Officer looking for a new and exciting opportunity?
Aspire People are currently recruiting School Attendance Officers to work on a temporary basis in Primary, Secondary and SEN Schools. The roles we have are a mixture of full-time and part-time and are due to start as soon as possible.
Applicants must have previous experience as an Attendance Officer in schools or have experience working within school administration. Applicants must have an enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to pay for a new one.
Duties will include:
1. Monitoring whole school attendance, persistent absence, and punctuality
2. Ongoing monitoring of attendance for students
3. Identifying students who require support with their attendance
4. Liaising with Senior Leadership Team, Heads of House and Tutors, SENCo, inclusion team, and other relevant staff regarding students who are of concern
5. Raising attendance issues with parents
6. Meeting with both students and parents in order to support them to improve attendance
7. Meeting with Education Welfare Officer on a weekly basis
8. Referring students who are not meeting attendance targets

You will be required to fully register with us including providing right to work documents along with obtaining an Enhanced Child Workforce DBS that will be processed by us but comes at a cost of £56.49 (unless you already have one registered on the update service).
