The Company
Our client based in Alcester is a silicone rubber specialist manufacturer, producing rubber hoses, mouldings, and assembly supplier for multiple high-end companies like Aston Martin, Vestas and Dennis Eagle supplying and manufacturing custom, handmade rubber hoses for assembly and performance specialised for each market sector.
The Role
The right candidate will be supporting the external sales team to increase and maintain current sales, increase brand awareness with blogs, website updates, marketing strategies and presentation skills. You will be required to learn and understand 2D drawings, CAD as well as gain knowledge of the benefits and initiatives of the business for marketing purposes. Your role is crucial as you will be responsible for the growth, promotion and managing customer relations.
Your tracked KPI’s will consist of: time taken to respond to leads and conversion rate, customer relations and satisfaction scores, achievement of quarterly sales and revenue targets, engagement and performance of marketing campaigns, and accuracy and timeliness of CRM data entry.
Key Responsibilities
1. Handling inbound inquiries via phone, email and online channels providing product knowledge and information to meet customer needs.
2. Developing and maintaining strong relationships with existing and potential customers ensuring high levels of satisfaction and loyalty.
3. Preparing and following up with quotations, proposals, and sales orders in coordination with the external sales team.
4. Tracking and reporting sales activities, opportunities, and order fulfilment to ensure targets and KPI’s are met.
5. Conducting market research to identify potential new customers within current business segments.
The Person
A bachelor’s degree in marketing or business administration is preferred but not required if relevant past work experience in this field has been obtained. Proven experience in an internal sales or marketing role, ideally within a B2B manufacturing environment is required. Knowledge of industrial or technical products, with experience in the automotive or manufacturing sectors isn’t essential but preferred. The right candidate will have strong, decisive communication skills alongside a deep understanding of sales and customer service. Organisational and analytical skills are paramount for this role as KPI’s are tracked and monitored.
