This type of Learning Support Assistant role will put you into challenging situations that will build your foundations of experience. This is a specialist school where empathy and pragmatism are key. You will learn to focus on the holistic and therapeutic side of education.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Work with students who have Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs and Wellness concerns.
2. Help raise attainment among students with Education Health Care Plans (EHCPs) and associated learning difficulties.
3. Utilize restorative practice and positive reinforcement skills.
4. Support students in a mix of vocational subjects such as computing, hairdressing, PE, and the performative arts, as well as core Math and English.
5. Participate in classes of 6-8 students, focusing on their ability, interest, and age.
6. Receive MAPA and ABA Training.
