The Exciting Role
A new and exciting opportunity has become available for a Casual Sport Assistant.
The successful candidate will be primarily based at both sites, Nelson & Colne College and Accrington & Rossendale College.
What You Will Be Doing:
* Greet customers, assist with inquiries, and provide information about the sports centre and the Sports centres offerings.
* Ensure the sports centre is clean and safe, and maintaining equipment, 3g surfaces and Sports Halls.
* Set up, store, and ensure the functionality of sports equipment for activities.
* Monitor activities to ensure participants follow rules and address any safety concerns.
* Manage bookings, memberships, and payments, recording customer information.
* Provide basic first aid and report any accidents or incidents to management (Training Provided).
* Help organize and prepare for events or tournaments.
* Monitor entrances and exits, ensuring the security of the sports centre.
What We Are Looking For:
* An individual with excellent communication, planning and customer service skills.
* A working knowledge of health and safety in a sports and leisure context.
* An individual who can work independently and is calm under pressure.
* Has experience in a leisure/ sporting facility.
* Can build and maintain excellent relationships with customers.
* An individual who is proactive in their approach to work, and willing to go the extra mile for the sport centre.
* A ‘can do’ attitude and a team player.
* Someone who is primarily available in the evenings and weekends.
