Project Planner - Infrastructure / Construction / EV - Durham - Hybrid - £50k-£65k (bonus/benefits)
Location: Durham, Office-based with 1/2 day per week remote
Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 per annum
About Us: My client is a leading company specialising in Utilities (Power/Telecoms), Civil Engineering, and Infrastructure projects across the UK and Ireland.
Role Overview: They are seeking an experienced Programme Planner to manage and coordinate multiple infrastructure projects simultaneously. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project planning within the utilities and civil engineering sectors, with proficiency in Microsoft Project or Primavera P6, and experience with NEC contracts. Experience in EV charging infrastructure is preferred but not essential.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and maintain detailed project schedules for 1 to 15 concurrent projects, ensuring alignment with project objectives and timelines.
* Utilise Microsoft Project or Primavera P6 to create, update, and monitor project programmes.
* Ensure compliance with NEC contract requirements, including the preparation and management of contract programmes.
* Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to gather necessary information for accurate programme planning.
* Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project milestones are achieved.
* Prepare regular progress reports, including programme analysis and recommendations, addressing any issues to ensure timely project completion.
* Assist in the coordination of live projects by working with other members of the project teams to develop, monitor, and maintain contracts and programmes.
* Liaise with clients and subcontractors to ensure clear communication and understanding of project timelines and deliverables.
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices and emerging technologies related to project planning and infrastructure development.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Proven experience as a Programme Planner or similar role within the utilities, civil engineering, or infrastructure sectors.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Project or Primavera P6 for project scheduling and management.
* Strong understanding and experience with NEC contracts.
* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
* Experience in EV charging infrastructure projects is preferred but not essential.
* Relevant qualifications in project management, engineering, or a related field are desirable.
