This 1-year internship will be based at the GE Vernova Grid Solutions Asset Monitoring site in Lisburn, Northern Ireland and is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic university student or recent graduate who is interested in the application of physics\/fundamental science in industry. The successful applicant will work within the core technology and wider engineering teams, working in transformer sensor technology including the use of photo acoustic spectroscopy and optical techniques for dissolved gas analysis (DGA).The Asset Monitoring product line is a class leading vendor of sensing devices and systems to electrical utilities and industrial customers. The product line spans sensing of multiple asset types and has a broad portfolio of advanced technology, which aid customers to understand and optimize the operating condition of key assets such as HV\/MV power transformers and circuit breakers.
