Primary Sports Coach | Southwark, London (SE1) | March 2025 Start | Full-Time, Long-Term Role | £95 - £110 per day
Long Term Futures is looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic Sports Coach & Teaching Assistant to work within a welcoming and well-resourced primary school in Southwark (SE1).
You will play a key role in promoting physical activity and healthy lifestyles, while also assisting students with their learning in a mainstream classroom setting. Whether leading structured sports sessions, supporting small group interventions, or encouraging teamwork.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Leading engaging PE lessons that encourage participation, teamwork, and physical development
- Supporting teachers in the classroom, working with small groups and individuals to enhance their learning experience
- Encouraging students to develop confidence and resilience through structured activities
- Assisting with behaviour management and ensuring all students remain focused and engaged
- Helping to organise extracurricular sports clubs, school events, and tournaments
- Working closely with teachers and SEN staff to support students with additional learning needs
Who We're Looking For:
- Experience in sports coaching or working with children in an educational setting
- Relevant coaching qualifications (e.g., Level 2 Coaching, PE & School Sport Qualification, or equivalent)
- A proactive and adaptable individual who can switch between sports coaching and classroom support
- Strong communication and leadership skills, able to motivate and inspire young learners
- The ability to manage behaviour effectively and create a positive learning atmosphere
Key Details:
- Full-time role, Monday to Friday
- Paid £95 - £110 per day, term time only
- Located in Southwark, London (SE1), with excellent public transport links
- March 2025 start, with potential for a long-term placement
