An exciting vacancy has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated individual who is interested in developing their Critical Care skills.
The purpose-built Critical Care Unit in Glangwili General Hospital is looking for a Band 5 Registered Nurse. The vacancy is a fixed term contract for 12 months to cover maternity and is a day and night rotation.
Main duties of the job
Successful applicants will be fully supported whilst gaining experience in the care of critically ill patients undergoing a variety of critical care interventions.
The successful candidates will ideally demonstrate some knowledge of Critical Care Nursing, but this is not essential and have a willingness to develop their skills further, playing an integral part in integrating critical care across Glangwili.
The applicants should be able to demonstrate the use of evidence-based practice and be proactive in managing change. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, together with a readiness to innovate and develop nursing within a team approach.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Qualifications and Knowledge
* Level 1 Registered Nurse (RGN/RN) Adult
* Knowledge of NMC Codes of practice
* BSc (Nursing)
* Acute nursing in secondary sector
Experience
* Experience of previous contributions towards developing clinical practice in nurse training and/or relevant care setting
* Experience in acute secondary care
Language Skills
* Welsh Speaker (Level 1)
