Manufacturing Cell Leader
Location: Heliex Power HQ, East Kilbride

The Role
The Manufacturing Cell Leader will oversee day-to-day activities in the Assembly and Test area, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and delivery standards. Reporting to the Head of Operations, you will initially take a hands-on approach, focusing on mechanical fitting and assembly of Heliex Power’s innovative generator sets. As the team grows, the role will transition to a more supervisory position, focusing on leading and developing a skilled team.
Key responsibilities include:
* Planning and managing day-to-day production activities to meet deadlines.
* Ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and process standards.
* Producing weekly/monthly reports on KPIs and resource forecasts.
* Driving productivity improvements through Lean/Continuous Improvement initiatives.
* Reducing costs associated with poor quality and improving on-time delivery.
* Managing and developing training programs to optimize team flexibility.
* Providing technical support to Field Service teams and external customers when needed.
* Supporting a culture of collaboration, openness, and integrity.
* The Person
We are looking for an experienced professional with the following skills and qualifications:
o HND/HNC in mechanical/electrical engineering (or similar), with significant experience.
o Extensive hands-on experience in a manufacturing and test environment, ideally working with rotating equipment.
o Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
o Understanding of quality and business systems, engineering drawings, and health and safety practices.
o Proven leadership abilities, with experience developing and managing small teams.
o Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
