As an Internal Sales Executive, you'll generate and win new business opportunities in dormant and new prospect accounts. You'll be someone who has proven experience in internal sales and enjoys working towards targets coupled with a great telephone manner and a positive attitude.
In return you'll receive a competitive salary from £28,000, a quarterly bonus scheme, 25 days holiday, a contributory pension scheme, life assurance, and healthcare.
We have a strong record of promoting from within. Several members of our senior management team joined the business as individual contributors.
Responsibilities include:
1. Prospect dormant and new prospect accounts on the phone to generate new sales opportunities, working closely with Area Sales Managers where applicable.
2. Work with the sales team to develop and execute targeted sales campaigns that deliver strong results.
3. Redevelop dormant accounts to agreed percentage.
4. Ensure sales targets are met in accordance with Key Performance Indicators on a monthly basis.
5. Achieve year-on-year revenue growth against budget.
6. Complete and update CRM system with accurate and relevant data.
7. Manage a sales pipeline/funnel from identification to order placed.
8. Ensure customer service and customer expectations are exceeded.
9. Deal with all customer queries quickly, efficiently and cost-effectively.
The ideal candidate will have/be:
1. A proven track record of target achievement in an internal sales role with a new business/cold calling focus, preferably B2B though B2C will be considered.
2. Excellent telephone manner.
3. Proactive individual with a professional outlook and good business acumen.
4. Strong communication skills; both verbal and written.
5. Results-oriented with the ability to balance other business considerations.
6. Ability to work closely with colleagues at all levels.
7. Able to demonstrate effective negotiation skills to ensure business is won on viable commercial terms.
