Job Summary:
The Data Analyst plays a key role within the wider business. Working in a small team reporting into the CFO, you will be responsible for the timely and accurate production of reports to help the business understand our activity and look for opportunities to improve by providing actionable insight. This will include analysis of sales, stock, and website traffic.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Maintenance / production / creation of automated reporting systems.
2. Development of processes to aid the business achieve their goals.
3. Understand and transform raw data, then present it in clear, understandable ways to colleagues.
4. Provide accurate data to key decision makers.
5. Provide actionable insight to help grow the business and assist with decision making.
6. Documentation of processes.
7. Become a knowledge base and central hub for information the business needs to perform.
Skills & Experience:
Essential:
1. Higher Microsoft Excel skills; Complex logic and formulae; Pivot Tables; Data importing; Some experience with VBA useful.
2. MySQL or demonstrable experience using different flavours of SQL, experience using workbenches such as HeidiSQL & dBeaver.
3. Understanding and experience of relational databases and datatypes.
4. Microsoft PowerBi; experience of using various sources (database, excel, etc) to build functional, user-friendly PowerBi reports; Use of power query and DAX; Experience of managing reports within PowerBi service.
Desirable:
1. Development of Python scripts for automation.
2. Command line and Bash knowledge.
3. Experience of Google Analytics.
