1-to-1 SEN Support
Cardiff
Pay: £12.85 per hour or £83.85 per day
Part-time: 10-15 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 2-3 hours per day)
We are seeking a flexible and patient Teaching Assistant to support pupils with ALN (Additional Learning Needs) in a local primary school in Cardiff. While no prior school experience is necessary, personal or professional experience with ALN is essential. The school follows the standard Welsh Curriculum and is a mainstream primary setting.
This role involves working with pupils during the lessons where they need the most support, which will vary depending on the pupil. Flexibility is key to adapting to their schedule and needs.
Consistency and commitment are vital, as building a routine and relationship with the pupils greatly benefits their learning experience. We’re looking for someone ready to take on a long-term role, providing stability and support for these pupils.

Key Responsibilities
* Supporting pupils to feel engaged and comfortable during lessons.
* Assisting with personal care tasks as needed, such as toileting and feeding.
* Using appropriate techniques to address and manage challenging behaviours.
* Participating in relevant training and development courses.

Requirements
* An Enhanced DBS (we can assist with this).
* Registration with the EWC (Education Workforce Council) (we can assist with this).
* Personal or professional experience in supporting individuals with ALN/SEN.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
