With a head office in Beckenham and a northern office in Preston, Eco Approach is a leading property services contractor, specialising in compliance, certification, heating systems, electrical installations, servicing & repairs and energy efficiency improvements.
Utilising both direct labour and subcontractors, Eco Approach visits over 10,000 properties per month across the UK carrying out a variety of services. This is split between a B2C element working on behalf of landlords and homeowners directly and a B2B model working with housing associations, energy companies, local authorities, government organisations, manufacturers and managing agents.

The Role
Overseeing a network of installers, this role will be responsible for ensuring that solar installation projects are delivered safely, on time and to budget whilst ensuring excellent customer service. In this role, you will be required to have experience managing both direct and subcontracted labour, including the onboarding of both. You will also be responsible for the operations of all on-site installations, managing support teams, roofers and electricians.
As a Field Manager, you will motivate and engage your team to deliver against operational targets, standards, policies & procedures and business strategy whilst working to continuously improve contract performance. Regular travel within London and the South East will be required.
As part of the role you will also need to manage the Electricians that wire up ASHP installations, this is usually done in conjunction with the installation of Solar Panels.
Key Responsibilities
1. Facilitate accurate and effective project handover from the internal retrofit team.
2. Ensure compliance with health and safety, building regulations, and licence obligations.
3. Using management information and data, to recognise trends to support analysis of individual and team performance to quickly understand and address reasons for under or over performance and build into regular conversations and coaching with individuals.
4. Oversee day-to-day management and coordination of the Installation teams, including assessing site plans, measuring, and ordering required materials.
5. Manage the installation process from conception to completion, providing technical guidance.
6. Manage performance and quality of all subcontractors and operatives.
7. Submit weekly reports to the Regional Operations Manager, including site audit reports, room availability reports, and weekly progress reports.
8. Implement robust quality control measures to assess the performance and workmanship of contractors.
9. Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with industry standards, health and safety regulations, and program requirements, thus maintaining a high level of quality in all installation projects.
10. Establish a strong network of contractors to build lasting relationships with reliable installers to ensure a steady and diverse workforce for the projects.
Experience Required
1. Experience in an Operations Management role.
2. Experience in managing subcontractors and direct labour teams.
3. Excellent technical understanding of Solar PV systems.
4. Must be competent on Microsoft packages (Excel etc).
5. Ability to demonstrate commercial awareness including financial and contract management.
6. Strong leadership and management skills.
7. Ability to build strong relationships with contractors and suppliers.
8. Experience within the Eco industry (desirable).
Summary
Job Role: Field Manager (Solar and Electrics)
Location: Split role between field and office based in Beckenham
Salary: £45,000 – £50,000 (based on experience) + Bonus
Vehicle: Company van provided with fuel card
Annual Leave: 22 days Annual leave + Bank Holidays
Shift Hours: Hours are 8am-5pm Monday to Friday (1 hour break)

Must have:
1. N/SVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation that includes Inspection & Testing and current BS 7671: 2018.
2. Level 3 Award in the Installation of Small-Scale PV Systems (Or Equivalent).
