We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Contracts Manager to join our growing team in a fast paced and innovative biotech company. This key role involves managing the entire contract lifecycle across various business functions. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in contract management, a solid understanding of the biotech industry, and the ability to work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance, mitigate risks, and support the business’s growth objectives. Key Responsibilities: Manage all matters of contracts across business operations: this includes creating, reviewing,  and later preparing and tracking drafts agreement for final approval (in particular CRO services agreements, employment agreements, confidentiality, materials transfer or supply, and consultancy agreements) as well as supporting and / or representing the company in the corresponding negotiation. Advising on contract matters across a number of projects and day-to-day operations across the whole organisation. Manage Contracts Management process across the organisation, including the execution and maintenance of the contract approval process and implementation of a legal database. Build understanding of the technology, intellectual property, and R&D activities of the business. Work with internal stakeholders and assist with the drafting of company policies. Provide ad-hoc general contract support as required. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in law, Business Administration, or a related field. A postgraduate qualification or equivalent legal qualification is preferred. Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in contract management, ideally within the biotech, pharmaceutical, or life sciences industries. Strong understanding of contracts, including CRO services and license agreements, employment agreements, confidentiality agreements, materials transfer or supply agreements, and consultancy agreements. Proven experience as a Contracts Manager, or in a similar role. Skills & Abilities: In-depth knowledge of UK contract law, employment law, and relevant industry-specific regulations. Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills. Proficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office applications. Able to prioritise and manage a high volume of work. Ability to work across functions – excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to proactively identify issues, think strategically, propose and implement practical solutions.
