This position is for a skilled VDA / Estimator and requires an experienced candidate who can work competently on Audatex and has a background in the accident repair industry within the HGV / Fleet / Commercial Vehicle Sector. As the Vehicle Damage Assessor, you’ll be at the forefront of their operations, travelling to customer sites to carry out detailed inspections of commercial vehicles. You’ll pinpoint and document damage with precision, assess repair requirements, and play a key role in ensuring a seamless repair process. With strong commercial acumen, you’ll be adept at identifying opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and potential business growth. Key responsibilities for the Vehicle Damage Assessor / VDA: Inspect damaged trucks, trailers, and vans to assess the full extent of the damage, estimate repair costs, and determine repair timeframes. Attend customer sites and other depots within the Northwest Identify the correct repair methods and ensure they align with industry standards. Prepare and maintain accurate computerized and manual estimates, keeping records up to date. Obtain repair authorisation from insurance companies and confirm repair costs. Communicate effectively with customers, engineers, and technicians to ensure a clear understanding of the repair process. Ensure any changes to repair work are approved by the insurance company. As a Vehicle Damage Assessor (VDA), coordinate with body shop personnel to ensure they fully understand and follow the prescribed repair method once authorisation is received. Vehicle Damage Assessor Requirements: Audatex experience is highly desirable.
