In the heart of St Albans, Hertfordshire, a 'Good' Secondary School is on the hunt for a Business and Economics Teacher for an April 2025 or September 2025 start. This is a permanent, full-time contract (employed directly by the school).
The Head Teacher is looking for an ambitious Business and Economics Teacher who is keen to add value to an expanding department. The school is renowned for its supportive SLT and impressive Progress 8 results across all subjects.
You would be joining a large, experienced, and supportive faculty team where they teach a wide range of courses including OCR GCSE Business, OCR GCSE Economics, AQA A Level Business, AQA A Level Economics, AQA A Level Law, BTEC Business Level 3, BTEC Enterprise Level 2, and the Level 3 Diploma in Financial Studies.
The school is well invested in the education sector, setting new teaching practices, as well as training their own and new staff. It's an exciting time at the school!
Early Career Teachers of Business and Economics (ECT) will be enrolled onto the school's bespoke ECT induction, as well as work alongside a range of young and experienced teachers.

1. Must have QTS or QTLS
2. Strong academics across the board - Degree, A Levels, and GCSEs
3. Must meet the 8 Teaching Standards to a 'Good or Outstanding' level
4. You must be able to work as part of a large team of teachers
5. Must be willing to listen to feedback
