We’re recruiting on behalf of a client in the Bradford area who is establishing a dedicated buying function for the first time. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing company in a brand-new role, sitting within their commercial team. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement purchasing systems and processes tailored to the needs of the business. Manage and streamline procurement activities to ensure cost-effective and efficient purchasing. Build strong relationships with suppliers to secure the best quality, price, and delivery terms. Collaborate with the commercial and production teams to align procurement strategies with business objectives. Provide insightful reporting and analysis to support decision-making. About You: Proven experience as a Buyer in the food manufacturing industry is essential. A proactive, self-starter with the ability to set up systems and processes from scratch. Strong negotiation skills with a track record of securing favourable terms with suppliers. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team. Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a focus on delivering results. What’s on Offer: Competitive salary of approximately £32,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
