About the Role
Full time – Ongoing
Reporting to the Commercial Advisor, the Commercial Officer assists in all aspects of contract management, using project, finance, and commercial management skills. The role requires well-developed interpersonal communication skills to guide, influence, and advise stakeholders and build effective professional relationships to successfully deliver contractual obligations and achieve business objectives.
* Assist in providing professional expertise to ensure the successful implementation of the Victorian Road Maintenance Contracts across Victoria, and that they provide best value and quality in line with relevant legislation and quality standards.
* Exercise professional independent judgement to develop innovative solutions to complex problems related to risk management, commercial performance, and contractor management.
* Build strong formal and informal networks both internally and externally to achieve successful outcomes for DTP, Government, and the Community.
* Apply well-developed commercial management skills to manage and mitigate risk (safety, environmental, scope, financial, time, and reputational) in accordance with DTP Risk Framework during the administration and management of contracts.
* Act as a proactive member of the commercial team, ensuring the team is highly motivated and forward-thinking.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE :
Mandatory
* Qualifications in Business Administration, Management, Engineering, Project Management, or related field experience.
* Experience in working with performance-based contracts.
* Experience in finance and analytical reports.
