Job Title: 2nd Line Support Technician (On-Site)

About the Role: We are working with a large IT solutions provider who are seeking a skilled and experienced 2nd Line Support Technician to join their dynamic IT team in Central London. This on-site role requires a proactive individual with a strong technical background to provide exceptional support and troubleshooting services.
Key Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Windows XP/7/8/10, Mac OSX, Citrix XenApp, and thin clients (Wyse terminals).
Address network connection problems and troubleshoot various software applications, including MS Office (2007 to 365), Adobe, and Sage.
Manage and maintain antivirus solutions such as Sophos, Symantec, AVG, Kaspersky, ESET, Webroot, and McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator.
Configure and troubleshoot routers, firewalls, and switches (IP, DNS, DHCP, Firewall policies) from vendors like Barracuda, Cisco, Draytek, WatchGuard, HP, NetGear, and Aerohive.
Utilize network monitoring tools such as Spiceworks and SolarWinds.
Administer servers (2003, 2008, 2012), Exchange, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, SQL, and vSphere.
Deploy software using tools like Casper, AD Manager Plus, and ManageEngine Password Manager.
Provide basic administration for cloud-based services including Office 365, Exchange/Hybrid online, GFI, Google Apps, Adobe, Azure, VMware, and Mirage.
Manage and troubleshoot printing solutions (HP, Xerox, Ricoh, Brother, Canon) and print server management.
Use helpdesk call login software such as Helpstar, ConnectWise, AutoDesk, ServiceNow, Hornbill, Spiceworks, and ZenDesk.
Perform PC and laptop hardware repairs (Dell, HP, Lenovo, Toshiba) and OS imaging.
Handle Cat5 cabling and patching.
Install and maintain AVAY and Panasonic phone systems, as well as conferencing equipment (projectors, conference phones).
Lead small projects for new client setups, including planning, purchasing, and sales.Requirements:
Proven experience in a similar 2nd Line Support role.
Strong troubleshooting skills across a range of operating systems and software.
Proficiency in network configuration and management.
Experience with server administration and cloud-based services.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
