Reporting directly to the HR Director - The main responsibility of the role is to provide expert and professional advice on all HR related subjects including employee relations, absence management, wellbeing, recruitment, together with actively working on projects to develop and progress people initiatives in line with the People and Culture agenda.
The role will suit an HR professional adept at influencing leadership, managing change, and delivering impactful HR solutions that support the organisation's growth and operational goals.
Responsibilities
Support the successful execution of the HR strategy across the business.
To coach, support, mentor and develop managers in the application of HR policies and practices, provide advice and guidance on complex HR issues in order to minimise risk and encourage positive employee relations.
Provide advice and guidance on occupational health referrals, absence management issues and return to work cases to managers.
Lead and support end-to-end recruitment processes with the aim of bringing recruitment in house.
Drive the continuous improvement agenda with focus on engagement & welfare activities, maximising productivity, devolving HR responsibilities to line managers and building leadership capability.
Coaching, mentoring and supporting staff members to identify their individual strengths and development needs, while championing an open, embracing culture of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) throughout the organisation.
Ensure our performance and talent management activities are understood, embedded, and delivered, to enable our people to successfully deliver against the business’ goals.
Oversee and manage company Appraisal process and system.
Design and develop HR training programs for management and employees to Identify and incorporate best practice and lessons learned into program plan.
Lead initiatives to foster a high-performance culture through engagement programmes and leadership development.
Actively participate, contribute and progress HR Projects and initiatives.
Management and maintenance of HR Systems.
Develop Management Reporting.
To provide administrative support to the function
Knowledge, Experience and Skills
Minimum 7 years’ experience as Senior HR Advisor/HR Business Partner, preferably in a Manufacturing environment.
CIPD preferable.
Strong Operational HR experience across the core HR processes (performance management, talent management, recruitment & resourcing, employee relations, organisational change).
Proven experience with employee relation issues and case management.
In house recruitment experience (across all level roles).
Computer literate with experience of HRIS systems (implementation experience an advantage)
Attention to detail, excellent organisation skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Outstanding communication, interpersonal, influencing skills & a strong leader.
