Sussex Teachers are working with a two-form entry school in Bexhill, East Sussex to find a Class Teacher to join their Year 1 team immediately after Easter. Covering a Maternity Leave, you will hit the ground running and teach full-time throughout the summer term.

They use Read Write Inc. phonics from Reception, followed by Daily Supported Reader in KS1 and Destination Reader in KS2 to build strong literacy foundations for every child.
Key Responsibilities
* Work closely with an experienced parallel Year 1 teacher to plan and deliver creative, well-structured lessons that excite and challenge learners.
* Monitor student progress using a range of assessment strategies, ensuring lessons are inclusive and appropriately challenging for all pupils.
* Foster strong relationships with students, staff, and parents, creating a supportive and engaging learning environment.
* Contribute to the wider school community by attending staff meetings, parents' evenings, and collaborative planning sessions.
* Implement effective behaviour management strategies, promoting a positive and respectful classroom culture where all children can thrive.
