We are currently seeking a 25 hour and 18 hour part time High Needs Support Officer to join our highly motivated professionals within the Resources Team of Middlesbrough Council's SEND Assessment 0-25 Team.
You will provide a range of administrative support, helping to ensure that Middlesbrough's children, families, and school settings enjoy a timely and smooth service from the Local Authority.
Your responsibilities will include supporting the process of high needs funding for pre and post 16 settings, calculating and paying special school and resource provision top ups, preparing and supporting with placement and funding panels, answering queries from settings and partners regarding payments and available support, maintaining meticulous records, producing reports as required, and ensuring that deadlines are adhered to.
The successful candidates should be confident and accomplished communicators, possess IT skills, have a willingness to learn, and a strong desire to offer an outstanding service. Experience of working in a finance or education environment would be an advantage but is not essential. However, you will need to demonstrate administrative experience and be accustomed to working in a busy environment, under pressure, and to tight deadlines. Being able to prioritize and multitask is essential for these roles.
This is an exciting opportunity for candidates to support us in our shared goal of providing an outstanding level of service. We offer a blended working arrangement where some of your work may be carried out at home.
If you have a passion for improving the lives and chances of Middlesbrough children and enjoy working at a fast pace, then this could be the role for you.
Please specify in your application whether you are applying for 25 hours, 18 hours, or both.
The above posts are subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
