Lecturer in Functional Skills & Employability
Location: Colchester
Type: Permanent – Full-time – 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year
About the Role:
You will teach functional skills in line with College policy, take part in quality assurance processes, and participate in the continual development of teaching, learning, and assessment. This delivery will be face-to-face or remote with 16–18-year-olds and 19+ students. You will support improving apprenticeship outcomes by successfully delivering learning to meet individual apprentice and employer needs and the continual year-on-year increase of qualification achievement rates.
About You:
You will have experience teaching 16-18 and adults, along with experience working across many departments and communicating progress and outcomes effectively. You will also have an understanding of the educational issues relating to the development of literacy, numeracy, and ICT skills in line with the national and local agendas.
