Occupational Therapist
Location: Oakfield House School, Preston
Hours: 5 hours per week, Monday to Friday (Term Time only)
Contract: Permanent
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our multi-disciplinary team at Oakfield House School. The successful candidate will have a strong background in working with adults and children with complex needs, including autism, intellectual disabilities, and mental health conditions.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and deliver occupational therapy services to meet the individual needs of students with complex and developmental trauma
* Collaborate with other professionals, including speech therapists, psychotherapists, and education staff, to provide comprehensive support and care
* Collect and analyze data to inform service delivery, development, and project work
* Contribute to the development of strategies and initiatives to improve outcomes for students with complex needs
* Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A relevant occupational therapy qualification
* Sensory Integration training (level 3 minimum)
* Experience of working with adults and/or children with autism and additional needs
* Evidence of continuing professional development relevant to the setting
* Substantial and relevant post-qualification experience with adults
* Experience of lecturing/teaching/training
* A full valid UK driving licence and access to own vehicle
* Skills in data management and analysis
