Corporate financial planning is more than just arranging employee benefits and pensions for employers. Our aim is to make appropriate recommendations so our corporate clients can ensure they are in the best position possible to achieve their goals, and they have taken the necessary steps to protect their business. As a Corporate Specialist you will work closely with our Financial Planners and their corporate clients to achieve this.
Our Financial Planners provide holistic financial planning to all our clients, so experience working within Financial Services, familiarity with the more technical aspects of corporate services and products, as well as a broad understanding of Group Schemes is desirable but not essential.

You will work closely with all our Financial Planners and the regional teams supporting them, establishing, and maintaining strong working relationships.
You will be self-sufficient and organised in your day-to-day role, handling complex tasks for multiple clients, exhibiting strong communication skills to adequately manage expectations of both internal and external stakeholders proficiently.
Administration support
In your role you will be expected to carry out a wide range of administrative duties to support our corporate clients with their ongoing and ad-hoc servicing requirements. This will include carrying out annual renewals of group protection schemes alongside general administration to support our Group Pension Schemes and liaising with our corporate clients and providers as required.
·You will support our Financial Planners with pension surgeries and employee benefit webinars. Specifically, this may involve preparing client facing and compliance documentation as well as joining Financial Planners hosting sessions either virtually or in person.
·Gather the required compliance documents ahead of client meetings
·Preparation of scheme information for re-broking
·Research and summarise market options
·Prepare written advice recommendations to support new and existing schemes
·Processing scheme leavers and joiners
·Setting up new schemes
·Confirming and tracking underwriting requirements
·Assisting clients processing claims
·Handling employer and provider queries
·Other general administration support
You will be required to ensure all work is completed within the required timescales to meet both internal Service Levels (SLA’s) and Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) guidelines and procedures. You will also be expected to develop knowledge around Quilter’s risk landscape, how that impacts your team and the work that you perform. Additionally, you’ll be required to have a thorough understanding of Quilter Financial Planning (QFP) Treating Customer Fairly (TCF) philosophy and ensure your knowledge is up to date through the training we provide.

1. To succeed in this role, you will have extensive organisational skills, whilst also being able to pay attention to detail, especially when completing written work.
2. You will have experience supporting within a Financial Planning or Paraplanning background who have familiarity with technical aspects of corporate services and products, as well as a broad understanding of the different types of Group Schemes.
3. Relevant qualifications would be desirable but not essential
4. You will be expected to manage your own self-development pro-actively to ensure competence in all key areas.
5. You naturally have a curious mind and are proactive in problem solving and know how to be resourceful.
6. Multi-tasking comes as second nature to you and enables you to meet tight deadlines, whilst still having a positive attitude to build strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. You will communicate openly and honestly, managing expectations accordingly.
7. You will be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, in particular Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
8. Lastly, working well in a team is important as the Corporate Team are a close-knit team and collaborate often to produce results. Working individually and managing your own workload will also be required as part of the role.
