Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Research Materials Scientist to develop and validate new testing methods for our recycled composite material. The ideal candidate will have experience with fibre composite materials and manufacturing processes, as well as strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
The selected individual will lead all material testing efforts, including experimentation, analysis, and reporting of results. They will also work closely with the engineering and R&D teams to support ongoing research and development activities within Lineat Composites.
**Key Responsibilities:***
* Develop and validate new testing methods to accurately confirm conformance of material produced.
* Perform composite manufacturing trials under varying processing conditions, mapping the effect on resulting composite material properties.
* Identify opportunities to enhance product quality, from production to manufacturing methods.
The successful candidate will have a degree in Engineering or Material Science, with a MSc or PhD in Fibre Composites being desirable. A minimum of two years' experience working with composite materials and good knowledge of composite manufacturing processes, testing methods is required.
The salary package includes a competitive annual salary of $70,000 - $90,000, depending on experience and qualifications. We offer excellent growth and development prospects in a dynamic and innovative clean-tech start-up environment.
