Airswift has been tasked by one of our major Oil and Gas clients to seek a Vessel Operations Engineer, to work in their facilities located in Kingston-Upon-Thames, UK.
* Contract Duration: 12 months renewable
* Work Location: Kingston-Upon-Thames, UK
* Start date: ASAP
* Work Schedule: minimum 3 days at the office per week
Scope:
As a Vessel Operations Engineer, you will be joining a global leader in engineering, procurement, construction, and installation services for the energy industry. With a strong track record of successful projects and a commitment to excellence, we strive to deliver innovative solutions to our clients.
A VOE (vessel operation engineer) is requested to follow the preparation and activities of the MSV. In particular, MSV scope will be:

o Mobilization activities, including wet buckle contingency and pre-commissioning spread preparation onboard.
o Pre-lay survey
o Anchor pile installation and support to project for initiation PLET installation (compensation buoy installation and retrieval).
o Touch down point monitoring during project pipelay campaign (readiness to intervene in case of wet buckle)
o Support to project for laydown PLET installation (compensation buoy installation and retrieval).
o Anchor pile removal
o Pre-commissioning campaign (flooding, cleaning, and gauging)
o Final demob
Vessel Operation Engineer duties during project preparation include:
*
o Liaising with the engineering team to guarantee all the required documentation is prepared, shared, and commented by the vessel crew
o Follow up of procurement of all the items requested by the vessel for the project execution
o Interface with vessel team to guarantee project requirements are met
o Interface with ASSETs dept. to guarantee the marine spread readiness
Vessel Operation Engineer duties during offshore operations include:
*
o Liaising with the onshore PMT, VMT, OCM and CLIENT representative to ensure that the requirements of CLIENT specifications and the CONTRACTOR installation manual are followed.
o Assists the OCM in all engineering aspects and advise on project specific items.
o Completion of onsite technical queries and management of change requests as required during offshore operations.
o Review and approval of task plans pertaining to pipeline operations which are written offshore, to ensure compliance with approved procedures.
o Jointly responsible with the QC Coordinator for ensuring the correct revisions of documents are available on-board.
