JAB Recruitment is sourcing a Financial Analyst FP&A on behalf of our Oilfield Services client. This is a 12-month contract position based between the Forfar and Montrose offices within the Energy Equipment Segment. The role offers a great opportunity to assist with all elements of Financial Planning and Analysis for two ledgers (UK and Baku), with a strong emphasis on local business partnering.
Financial Planning and Analysis:
Assist with financial planning and analysis tasks for two ledgers (UK and Baku) across various departments.
Support the local management team with reporting, analysis, and presentations on actual, forecast, and planned numbers.
Review ongoing projects for the relevant business units, ensuring timely and accurate revenue and cost recognition.
Assist in completing and reviewing monthly P&L and management reports and in preparing variance analysis for the FP&A Manager.
Prepare labour recovery reconciliations for several business units and assist the FP&A Manager with their review.
Review aged WIP and provide commentary to ensure projects are completed in a timely manner, feeding this into the accounting team for SOX compliance.
Review and reconcile relevant contract assets and liabilities sections, including aging monitoring and commentary.
Conduct monthly working capital analysis and provide commentary.
Assist with monthly forecast and annual financial plan preparation.
Accounting Tasks: Perform accounting tasks related to FP&A and provide support to the wider finance team as needed. Balance sheet reconciliations.
external and internal auditors, tax, compliance, statutory accounting team).
Other accounting and FP&A tasks as required.
Degree in Accountancy or Finance or equivalent.
Professional accountancy qualification such as CIMA / ACCA.
Experience as a business partner working with non-financial management.
3+ years of experience working in a financial/accounting environment within a larger entity.

~ Experience working with Oracle and Glovia ERP systems.
Skills, Training, or Special Knowledge: Essential:
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Excellent Excel skills.
