We are looking for a strategic Senior HR Business Partner (HRBP) to support business leaders in driving performance, engagement, and effectiveness. The HRBP will collaborate with stakeholders on people strategy, employee relations, change, talent management, and leadership development.
You will guide People Business Partners, oversee restructuring, and drive HR improvements. This role blends strategic thinking with operational delivery to align HR with business goals.
As the HR team transforms, the HRBP will help shape its future and ensure alignment with the organisation's strategic objectives.

Strategic HR Partnership:
* Advise senior leaders on workforce planning, talent management, and employee engagement.
* Integrate with functional management teams, building strong relationships across leadership.
* Represent HR, influencing business strategies, and providing support, advice, and challenge.
* Use HR data and analytics to inform decisions and measure HR impact.
Talent Management & Succession Planning:
* Lead talent initiatives to identify, develop, and retain top talent.
* Partner with leaders to assess capabilities and build succession plans for key roles.
* Support leadership development, internal mobility, and employee growth.
* Promote employer branding, diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Employee Relations:
* Oversee complex employee relations cases, ensuring legal compliance.
* Coach managers on performance, conduct, and engagement issues.
* Support proactive strategies to reduce employee relations cases.
Organisational Change & Restructuring:
* Lead restructuring, redundancy, and change management, ensuring legal and best practice alignment.
* Advise on organisational design, transitions, and communications.
* Maintain relationships with trade unions and employee representatives.
* Support cultural and operational change for better business performance.
HR Projects & Process Improvement:
* Contribute to improvements in HR systems, processes, and policies for greater efficiency.
* Lead HR projects, including leadership development, engagement, and diversity efforts.
* Ensure HR processes align with business needs and workforce trends.
What you’ll need
* Experience in senior HR roles (e.g. HR Business Partner, Senior HR Advisor).
* Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and coach managers to develop leadership.
* Strong knowledge of employment law, employee relations, and HR best practices.
* Experience in talent management, succession planning, and leadership development.
* Experience in managing organisational change, including restructuring and workforce planning, ideally in a unionised environment.
* Experience leading HR process improvements, streamlining workflows and enhancing user experience.
* Expertise in generalist HR issues.
* Commercially aware and numerate.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Resilient and adaptable in managing uncertainty and changing priorities.
Preferred Qualifications:
* CIPD Level 7 (or equivalent experience).
* MCIPD (or equivalent).
Other:
* Ability to travel between sites and stay overnight when needed.
