Fairfield High School is seeking to recruit a part-time Receptionist. We are looking for an enthusiastic and adaptable Receptionist to join the team and ensure the smooth running of the Reception area and provide a warm and welcoming front of house for visitors, parents students and members of the public. This post is for four days per week, 8.30am – 5.00pm Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays (32 hours per week - we have a little flexibility on times) term time only plus 2 Inset days, inclusive of a 30 minute lunch break. We are happy to split the posts between two people, so if you prefer to work for two days per week, please specify in your application. Salary will be paid at point 5 rising to point 7, full time equivalent is £23,500 - £24,294 per annum (pending pay award). The successful candidate will: • Have excellent communication skills • Have strong interpersonal and organisational skills • Have excellent IT skills, especially Word, Excel and Outlook • Be able to prioritise and meet deadlines • Be proactive • Be able to work independently and within a team • Be reliable and flexible • Be able to work in a calm and professional manner • Be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children within the school Working in a busy reception environment, you will need to manage telephone calls, in person visitors to the school, radio calls and emails.
