What you will do in your working day A key part of the role will be working to deliver outstanding HR advice and guidance to our customers. You will be constantly focused on delivering commercial and pragmatic advice whilst ensuring you are delivering to our client's objectives To act as the first point of contact to provide advice and solutions to managers on employee relations matters including, working arrangements, contractual matters, sickness, employee communication and consultation, either via phone or e-mail, in line with current legislation Respond to a wide range of customer enquiries, via telephone, e-mail or other correspondence, relating to HR issues/administration in a professional manner, to ensure that clients receive timely, accurate and valuable advice The training you will be getting CIPD Level 3 with the opportunity to study higher levels after. As part of the Level 3 CIPD qualification, the apprentice would be assigned an assessor through the College, who would typically come out to visit in the workplace to assess workplace HR skills, progress reviews, and observations. The knowledge side would be delivered via day release attendance to Cambridge Campus, plus access to online portal VLE (Virtual Learning Environment), and assignments/ evidence of work/portfolio would be submitted via an online Smart Assessor. The practical training period is the time dedicated to the development of the knowledge, skills and behaviours for your apprenticeship which includes the following components: Level 3 CIPD Foundation Certificate in People Practice On-programme assignments The HR apprentice would work towards an End Point Assessment Requirements Desired skills and personal qualities Communication skills, IT skills, Attention to detail, Organisation skills, Customer care skills, Problem solving skills, Presentation skills, Administrative skills, Number skills, Analytical skills, Logical, Team working, Creative, Initiative, Non judgemental, Patience, Physical fitness Qualifications GCSE or equivalent English (Grade 4 or C) Essential GCSE or equivalent Maths (Grade 4 or C) Essential Other information Things to consider The successful applicants will have a passion to meeting people, to be multi-tasked focussed and prides themselves on holding a key skill set of confidentiality, effective inter-personal skills and effective administration.
