Base Location: Haverhill
Start date: May 2025
Contract Type: Permanent, full time (37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year)
Salary: Grade 4 SP 9 -12 (FTE £26,409 - £28,624)

How will you spend your days?
ICT technicians provide 1st line support to look after school IT equipment, install, order and maintain software and hardware and provide technical support to teachers and pupils.
Your day-to-day work usually involves:
* resolving IT issues reported through our service desk ticketing system
* assisting in the maintenance of the school's network
* installing new software and upgrading existing applications
* providing technical support for teachers and pupils
* running diagnostics
* maintaining hardware peripherals (e.g. visualisers, printers, external drives)
* ensuring systems are safe and offer full child protection
* training teachers and students
Skills and experience you’ll need:
* Enjoy working in a learning environment with great patience, diplomacy, and good communication skills
* Knowledge of operating systems, networking, hardware, and software commonly used in schools
* Good problem-solving skills
* Good organisational skills
* The ability to explain problems and solutions clearly to non-technical users
* The ability to prioritise, work under pressure and meet deadlines
* A patient and methodical approach
* The ability to work alone or as part of a team
* An awareness of health and safety
Travel between schools within your hub will be required, and candidates will therefore require their own car. Where possible, we look to deploy technicians close to their home base to reduce the environmental and financial impact of travel for work.
A Full Enhanced DBS check will also be required for the successful candidate.
