The Role
Our client are seeking a Post Exchange Assistant to join their Residential Property team. You will assist in delivering residential property legal services to clients.
Roles and Responsibilities
As a Post Exchange Assistant, your main duties will include:
1. Preparing the memorandum of exchange and all post-exchange correspondence
2. Completing Stamp Duty Land Tax returns
3. Preparing Certificates of Title for submission to lenders
4. Handling Help to Buy submissions and relevant paperwork
5. Preparing completion statements
6. Updating Help to Buy with completed documents and registration
7. Managing LMS and relevant portals with all post-completion tasks
8. Reviewing files to ensure Stamp Duty and Registrations were submitted
9. Responding to client, solicitor, and agent enquiries via telephone, email, or post
10. Liaising with lenders and service providers to progress matters
11. Ordering and conducting Land Registry searches
12. Preparing completion statements and apportionments on leasehold properties
13. Arranging payments to Management Companies
14. Conducting meetings and interviews with clients
15. Assessing legal issues and providing advice
