An exciting opportunity has arisen for the post of Senior Performance Management Analyst. We are seeking to recruit an individual who can demonstrate strong strategic leadership, has a proven track record of excellence and has a passion for taking forward change.
The post holder will support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of a robust corporate performance management framework for the Health Board, which is consistent with the Health Board's Strategic Direction and Operational Plan, and actively promote a culture of excellence. This will include assisting the Head of Performance in the implementation of the Board's Integrated Quality and Performance Framework to ensure the implementation of effective reporting systems at all levels of the organisation.
Providing assurance, highlighting any variances in performance and bringing performance issues to the attention of the Head of Performance, collating data from a variety of sources, communicating and liaising with managers and clinicians at all levels across Powys Teaching Health Board, and with external partner colleagues.
Main duties of the job
Key duties include:
* Ongoing development and implementation of the Powys Integrated Performance Framework.
* Working with key stakeholders to support and challenge all aspects of services improving patient outcomes through appropriate use of key performance and analysis work.
* Leading on the provision of robust, timely reporting of key performance drivers of the NHS.
* Working with the PTHB Digital teams utilizing skills in PowerBI and SQL.
* Playing a key role in service demand and capacity workstreams.

Qualifications and/or Knowledge
Essential
* Educated to degree level or equivalent level of knowledge and experience in the field of analytics and performance management.
* Evidence of continuous professional development at senior management level and record of development.
* Excellent knowledge of NHS services and information systems.
* Significant knowledge of performance management at post graduate level, across multiple complex commissioning pathways spanning and involving multiple organisational and geographical boundaries.

* Significant experience in an information/performance management role.
* Significant experience of performance management frameworks and processes in a large complex organisation.
* Understanding of the NHS Wales performance management process.
* Experience of developing and implementing performance management systems.
* Significant experience of managing a team and supervising staff.
* Presentation skills.
* Ability to manage a complex workload under pressure and delegate to meet deadlines.
* Excellent People Management skills.
