An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Digital Nurse within Aneurin Bevan University Health Board (ABUHB) for the delivery of electronic prescribing and medicines administration (ePMA).

Main duties of the job
The Senior Nurse will have a key role in a multidisciplinary team responsible for ABUHB's ePMA programme and subsequent solution to assure the safe, clinical and cost-effective use of medicines.
1. Provide specialist knowledge and experience, inclusive of digital skills, to support the development, configuration, maintenance and ongoing optimisation of the ePMA system, ensuring adherence to the patient safety and information standards of NHS Wales and the Health Board.
2. Use nursing experience and knowledge to contribute to the design of the new ways of working associated with ePMA and other related systems to ensure maximum levels of safety and quality.
3. Develop and deliver specialist training to the workforce who will interact with the ePMA system, inclusive of providing system demonstrations and communicate the safe and effective use of ePMA and other supporting systems.
4. Be a visible leader in the use of digital services and promote the professional nursing agenda relating to medicine safety and excellence in practice.
5. Ensure policies, procedures and guidelines are written and ratified prior to system implementations and remain valid and appropriate throughout product delivery, reviewing and updating when required.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post. English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

* NMC registration
* Knowledge and understanding of clinical audit, effective research processes and application
